How to Record Flash Games

October 23, 2019 by CraftGames

Are you a person that enjoys playing flash games? Was there ever a time you wanted to share your experiences with friends or become a content creator with YouTube through playing online games? Perhaps you’re trying to figure out how to start yourself off on how to record your gameplay to share it.

Recording flash games or any kind of games can be a simple process to get started. First off, you need to find a recording software that will allow you to record your gameplay while not be taxing on your computer. To do so, simply know the specs of your desktop or laptop then find a recording program within those ranges.

For example, Xsplit Broadcaster recording program requires a minimum requirement processor for HD 720p recording or streaming by using a 4th generation Core i5 or CPU equivalent to it or a 4th generation Core i7 or CPU equivalent for HD 1080p. It also requires at least 8GB of RAM (random access memory). Plus, a GeForce or Radeon class graphics card that supports DirectX 10.1 or better compatibility.

Xsplit recording software is fairly user-friendly as it also leads the operator where to add a source from for recording a game. For flash games, the auto-detect feature it has doesn’t work for it. Instead, clicking desktop as a record source will allow you to record any web browser-based games while they are made in full-screen mode.

No full-screen mode for the flash game you’re playing? That’s perfectly fine as you can also use an “add source” for the window you’re playing on or even by a webpage. Then simply hit record or hit the hotkeys you set yourself for your recording software. Then you can play and record your video game at the same time with little to no issues.

Not playing on a laptop or desktop? There’s no need to worry there as there are also several screen recording apps for the phone or iPad that will allow you to record. With the features on the screen as well. The only issue is finding the one with good reviews and one that is right for your needs. Once you find an app right for you, you’re off to recording games to your heart’s content.

With all that being said, the best way to record any game is by desktop and using a recording software that fits you best. Xsplit Broadcaster just happens to be one of the most operator-friendly software out there with many tutorials online that can help you out. The brief tutorial in this article is simply to help you get started on the many possibilities given to you if you wish to ever branch further than that for your amusement.
